Puppy Training

Puppy Preschool is for puppies between 2-5 months old. This program will get your puppy started off on the right paw with key foundational skills and give you the resources you need to raise a happy, well-behaved, resilient dog.

Training Areas of Focus:

• Managing Energy: your puppy will learn to settle and be calm in the house and channel their energy into appropriate outlets
• Socialization: frequent opportunities for safe socialization to boost your puppy's confidence and social skills
• Potty Training: establishing a consistent routine to jumpstart your puppy's potty training
• Crate Training: reinforcing a positive association with crate time
• Handling: your puppy will learn to cooperate for handling and in preparation for brushing, nail trims, grooming, and vet visits
• Puppy Obedience Introduction: Your puppies with learn their name, come when called, sit, down, short stays, and place (short stay on an indicated bed) with a treat lure and reward
• Leash Walking: an introduction to walking on leash with good manners
• Preventing Bad Habits: Nipping and play biting, chewing inappropriate items, jumping etc redirected to more desirable behaviors
• Other Goals: we will also address any other goals or concerns you may have

Program Includes:

• 10 Days of Immersive Training: your puppy stays in our home and benefits from consistent training in a structured environment. Regular detailed updates keep you informed on your puppy's progress.
• 3 Private Lessons: one before your puppy's stay and two follow up lessons afterward
• Additional Support: Written training material for your reference and trainer support during and after training

Program Cost: $1450

This program is designed to guide your puppy through their critical first year of development and is split into two phases:

Phase 1: Puppy Preschool (12 weeks - 5 months) is focused on the key foundational skills your puppy needs to grow into a happy, well-behaved, resilient dog:

• Managing Energy: your puppy will learn to settle and be calm in the house and channel their energy into appropriate outlets
• Socialization: frequent opportunities for safe socialization to boost your puppy's confidence and social skills
• Potty Training: establishing a consistent routine to jumpstart your puppy's potty training
• Crate Training: reinforcing a positive association with crate time
• Handling: your puppy will learn to cooperate for handling and in preparation for brushing, nail trims, grooming, and vet visits

Phase 2: Charm School (7-9 months) is focused on finishing obedience training and addressing common teenage behavior issues (excitability, testing boundaries, lack of impulse control, etc.)

• Reliability: obedience training is finished so your dog will listen with or without a treat, stay in behavior for more duration, and listen around distractions
• Come When Called: even when distracted
• Sit, Down, and Stay: with more distance and duration
• Place: with more distance and duration
• Leash Manners: walk politely on a leash without pulling and pass people and other dogs under control
• Door Manners: wait at the door until released, no bolting
• Daily Life: good manners reinforced throughout the day during normal daily life in addition to targeted training sessions
• Clear Communication: a system of communication is key for clarity and a good relationship between you and your dog
• Settling in the House: your dog will learn when it's time to settle and be calm in the house and when to channel their energy into appropriate outlets
• Field Trips: outings to dog-friendly public places to practice training in different environments and around distractions
• Other Goals: any additional goals or concerns we discuss can also be addressed

Program Includes:

• 10 Day Puppy Board and Train (2-5 months) with regular progress updates
• 21 Day Board and Train (7-9 months) with regular progress updates
• 6 Private Lessons: 1 before your puppy's first stay and 5 additional lessons spread out to cover your puppy's first year of development
• Additional Support: Written training material for your reference and trainer support during and after training for the lifetime of your puppy

Program Cost: $4200

With Off Leash Training: $5500 (second training stay will be extended to 30 days, total of 40 days of training plus private lessons)
