Puppy Training

Puppy Preschool is for puppies between 2-5 months old. Although traditional obedience is introduced, this is not an obedience program! Rather, Puppy Preschool is focused on teaching foundational life skills to start your puppy off right and providing you with the resources to raise a happy, well-behaved companion.

What's Covered:

• Managing Energy: your puppy will practice settling and being calm in the house and channeling their energy into appropriate outlets 
• Socialization: your puppy will have opportunities for safe socialization and exposure to new experiences and environments, which are key to developing a stable, adaptable adult dog 
• Potty Training and Crate Training: reinforced consistently as part of your puppy's daily routine
• Handling: your puppy will learn to cooperate for body handling in preparation for brushing, nail trims, grooming, and vet visits
• Puppy Obedience Introduction: Your puppy will learn their name, come when called, sit, down, and place (short stay on a cot or bed) with a treat lure and reward
• Leash Walking: Introduction to walking politely on leash
• Preventing Bad Habits: Common problem behaviors such as nipping and play biting, chewing inappropriate items, jumping etc redirected to more desirable behaviors
• Other Goals: any additional goals or concerns we discuss can be addressed

What's Included:

• 10 Days of Immersive Training: your puppy stays in our home and benefits from consistent training in a structured environment. Regular updates keep you informed on your puppy's progress and insight into their behavior. 
• 3 Private Lessons: one before your puppy's stay and two follow up lessons afterward
• Additional Support: Written training material for your reference and trainer support throughout the puppy phase until your puppy is six months old

Program Cost: $1450

This program is designed to guide you and your puppy through their critical first year of development and is split into two phases:

Phase 1: Puppy Preschool (12 weeks - 5 months) is focused on socialization, building good habits, and foundational obedience. 

Phase 2: Charm School (7-9 months) is focused on reliability in training and addressing common teenage behavior issues including excitability, testing boundaries, and lack of impulse control.  Your puppy will learn how to focus for longer periods of time, pay attention around tougher distractions, and listen with or without a treat. Optionally, off leash training can also be done at this age. 

What's Included:

• 31 Days of Board and Train: Split into a 10 day and a 21 day stay each targeted to match different developmental stages as your puppy matures
• 6 Private Lessons: 1 before your puppy's first stay and 5 additional lessons spread out to cover your puppy's first year 
• Additional Support: Written training material for your reference and lifetime trainer support

Program Cost: $4200

With Off Leash Training: $5500 (second training stay will be extended to 30 days, total of 40 days of training plus lessons)
